Blackberry

There are two options available when setting up ONID email on your Blackberry:

• Automatic Setup - Reccommended
• Manual Setup - Only if automatic doesn't work

Automatic Setup for ONID Email

1. Locate and select the Setup folder.
2. In the Setup folder, select Email Settings. Review the Terms of Agreement if prompted.
3. You will now see a list of email providers. Highlight the appropriate one and select Next. If none are appropriate, highlight Other and then select Next.
4. Enter your email address and associated password.

In most cases, following these steps should result in a properly configured email integration.

 

Manual Setup for ONID Email

1. Make sure your phone is connected wireless or through your mobile network
2. Click the Menu Button
3. Click Setup
4. Click Personal Mail Setup
5. Accept the License Agreement
6. Fill in your Email Address in the form "username@onid.orst.edu"
7. Fill in your ONID Password
8. Click Next
9. Click I will provide the settings to add this email account
10. Re-enter password and click Next
11. Select Internet Service Provider Email (POP/IMAP)
12. Click Next
13. Click I will provide the settings to add this email account again
14. Click Next
15. Fill in your email and password again
16. For Email Server, enter "imap.onid.oregonstate.edu"
17. Click Next
18. Then Close

Your ONID email should then start to sync with your Blackberry device

 

Due to the variety of Blackberry devices, ONID setup may vary. These instructions may not work for all Blackberry devices.
