"Should Religion Influence Politics?"
Monday, November 14th, 7:00 PM.
Withycombe Auditorium
Speakers:
Marc Andresen
Richard Clinton
The growing influence of religion on American politics has produced intense controversy regarding the extent to which political and judicial decisions should reflect moral and religious values. The debate will explore the question whether religion belongs in politics, with the two speakers presenting widely-divergent points of view. Marc Andresen is Minister of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Corvallis. Dr. Richard Clinton is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at OSU. Both presenters will be given equal time and members of the audience will have the opportunity to address questions to the speakers. The meeting is free and open to the public.
