Phi Sigma Rho has provided a balance between school and social life for thousands of young women since 1984. The sisters of Phi Sigma Rho have grown into professional women ready to face the world because of this balance. Women of diverse backgrounds and interests have chosen to become sisters of Phi Sigma Rho for numerous reasons:

Our sisters meet other women in the traditionally male dominated fields of engineering, and form a bond of friendship and encouragement.
Becoming a sister enables women to stay active on campus, find study assistance, experience leadership and participate in community service, social activities, and even career development.
Involvement in Phi Sigma Rho connects you to a tremendous network of women engineers throughout the country and provides you with contacts to recent Oregon State graduates in industry.
As Oregon State is a new chapter there are many opportunities for new members to become involved in leadership positions.

What are the requirements for joining?

In order to be considered for recruitment the following must be met:

Have a university GPA of at least 2.5, both cumulative and from the previous term (First term students must have a high school GPA of at least 2.0)
Be enrolled full time (12 credits or more) in the College of Engineering at Oregon State
Not a member or associate member of any other social sorority

How much are dues?

Dues are currently $210 for the first term, and $100 each term after that. The extra costs at the beginning cover materials and activities related to your association period.

Do I have to live in a house?

Currently, Phi Sigma Rho is not a housed sorority. Some members choose to live together in apartments or houses, or near each other in dorms.
