Cheap,
Fast, and Nutritious Climbing Breakfast:
Getting tired of giving away your first born son for those
pre-made, dehydrated breakfasts. Try this! Go to your local bulk food
retailer and get high fat granola, your choice of dried fruit, brown sugar,
and dehydrated milk. Take them home and make your own pre-made meals in
little zip-lock bags. On the mountain the meal is quick, can be made with
hot or cold water, and tastes great, not to mention highly nourishing.

Use
that Hot Water for Something:
In the mountains you are always heating and boiling water. Instead of
just using the fuel for one job, kill two birds with one stone. Put your
Cliff or Pemmican Bar in the hot water. That way you can eat the bar warm.
Because a warm Cliff Bar is a good Cliff Bar.

Smith
Rock Safety Tips:
Before heading out to Smith, check out the Redpoint webpage for weather
conditions and even route conditions! And if you discover bad bolts or
anchors let everyone else know about them also.
