6:15 Meet in front of Wilkinson
Hall
6:30 Depart OSU
9:00 Arrive Bonneville Dam where
we'll be joined by Dick Cassidy (ACOE) and Jim Ruff (NWPPC), and the PSU
student hydrology group.
Directions:
We'll meet at 9:00 at the visitor center on the Washington side
of the Columbia. Take I-84 to exit 44 (Cascade Locks). Follow
signs to Stevenson, WA and cross the Bridge of the Gods ($0.75 toll each
way). Turn left (west) on highway 14 and go about 2 miles to
the visitor center. Meet in front of the large glass building.
Notes:
Bring a bag lunch. Trip costs will
be $5.00 per person to cover van rental. The remainder of the trip
cost will be financed by Hydrophiles. Because the trip will be partially
subsidized by hydrophiles, we ask that all trip participants be paid hydrophiles
members. Dues are $10.00 payable to AWRA/Hydrophiles. Send
dues, trip reservation funds, and any questions to Tim Link at EPA-Main
(campus mail), or tim@orst.edu).
Trip will be limited to 20 participants, including PSU students
so please commit early. Also, due to security concerns at the Bonneville
Dam, the trip will be open to U.S. citizens only - we express our apologies
to foreign students.
