Just Consequentialism as a Method for Computer Ethics

Some claim that computing requires completely new ethics and others claim that no special ethics is required.

I wish to argue that computing is indeed a special technology that requires new ethical insights but one that also can draw upon traditional ethical notions. Regretably, traditional ethical theories tend to be confused, conflicting, and not very helpful. I will discuss Just consequentialism as a method of doing computer ethics that alleviates these difficulties and offers hope of progress in computer ethics.
