  1. Roberto Martinez made up the name Baila Con Mexico.
  2. Noraima Menchaca fainted during her peformance at Hispanic Night 1996.
  3. Manual Michel, Noraima's parnter, collected $50 in donations as Noraima was still recovering from her incident.
  4. Believe it or not Baila Con Mexico did perform at the Oregon State Prison. BCM did not peform for the fourth of July at the Corvallis Waterfront.
  5. Noraima Menchaca and Caterino Soto were both instructors for BCM. Erica Landin is the daughter of BCM alumnae Ayde Landin. Erica modeled dresses at several BCM performances.
  6. Educational Opportunites Program's Larry Griggs became the BCM advisor in March of 1996 and helped BCM become a recognized organization at OSU.
