Baila Con Mexico has gone through many ups and downs and turnarounds and the following is a chronology of where Baila Con Mexico has been.
March 1995 - March 1996

| March 1995 | The first dance practice. Over thirty individuals come to see what the dance group is all about. A one and 1/2 hours practice follow. Instructors are Roberto Martinez and Noraima Menchaca. |
| May 1995 | BCM is invited to peform at the state capital. The governor was expected to show up but was "tied" up. BCM peformed four dances including La Negra, Jarape Tapitio, Las Alazanas, and Perico Loro. |
| BCM peforms for OSU's Cinco de Mayo Celebration. After hours of work, the night we have been practicing for has arrived. BCM dancers dance their heart out to a crowd of family, friends, and cultural enthusiasts. | |
| BCM performs for the Oregon State Prison's Cinco De Mayo Celebration. | |
| October 16, 1995 | Baila Con Mexico performs for the Human Resources Building in Salem. |
| November 2, 1995 | BCM volunteers and performs for a children's Christmas party held in the Memorial Union. |
| December 7, 1995 | On a trip to the bank the name "Baila Con Mexico" is made up. No more "no name" for us! |
| February 1996 | Baila Con Mexico is officially recognized as a student group at Oregon State University. |
March 1996-June 1996

| March 1996 | Caterino Soto, professional instructor from Portland, is brought in to teach Baila Con Mexico. He brings in a new style of dance and teaches more dances to BCM members. Caterino brings in the consistency of a weekly scheduled dance practice that is much needed. |
| May 1996 | Baila Con Mexico performs for OSU's Cinco De Mayo Celebration. |
| BCM performs for the grand opening of the Centro Cultural Ceasar Chavez. | |
| BCM is one of many student organizations represented at Oregon State University's Block Party. | |
| June 1996 | BCM perfroms at the Albany Civic Theatre for a fundraisor. |
July 1996 - June 1997

| June 1997 | Baila Con Mexico performs for "La Raza" Room dedication in the Memorial Union Lounge. Memorial Union room 208 is now called "La Raza" Room and is dedicated to La Raza. Baila Con Mexico is one of nine student organizations that is focused on the latino culture. |
