This event will be held at the MU East International Forum on February 19, 2009 @ 8pm. It will be a free event available for the public!

Another volunteering opportunity at another local high school. Crescent Valley High School is allowing APASU to come discuss the college transition and organizations available for students. Come help the officers out and promote OSU or college in general for students questioning their future. Contact Vi Bui for more information or come to a general meeting to hear about it in detail.

APASU’s second general meeting will be held tomorrow at 6p in MU room 206. We will be discussing upcoming events, some awesome news for you, and asking for your opinions on the spring dance that will happen in May. Also, don’t forget to check out the free food in the MU prior to our meeting, it’s free for everyone! See you there.

Don’t forget to check out the APA welcome reception in MU Ballroom, all the organizations will have a video presentation representing their group. And dinner will be provided, so don’t miss out! Make sure that you have a reservation through an APASU officers or Sandy.

We’re excited to announce our first general meeting will be next Tuesday at 6pm in MU213. Please be aware of this room since we are normally in MU206. Can’t wait to see you there!

APASU will be reaching out the Corvallis community through our newly established high school out reach program! If you’re interested in any volunteering opportunities, this is a great one to get involved in. We will be reaching out to the students of Corvallis High School once each month to discuss college, the plethora of things they’ll experience, and more. If you’re interested, please contact John Mai, or Vi Bui who are heads of this event. Their contact information is listed on the main APASU site!

Welcome 2009, we hope that everyone had a wonderful winter break besides the whole snow storm! We are excited for what APASU has in store this term, it’s only going to get better. If you think Fall term was great, just wait for our events this term especially next! But we’ll keep spring term under wraps until the time gets closer. This term we have volunteering opportunities as well as special guests, and of course our wonderful general meetings.

One thing you’ll notice is Steven Ma, event coordinator, will be MIA this term; but he’ll keep in contact! Currently he is in South Africa studying abroad, we’ll try getting some photos for you guys to check out. We hope that he’s having a wonderful time learning and experiencing new things, but most of all missing us APASU buddies!
