APASU | Mission Statement
The Asian Pacific American Student Union strives to create a friendly environment while exploring diversity within the community through fun and educational events. As a resource and foundation, APASU acts as a catalyst to promote activeness and awareness in the Asian Pacific American and non-APA community. We work to inspire students and community members to become open-minded and understanding. Our mission is to create a network for students and community members to build relations with APA and non-APA leaders.

APASU | History
During the end of Spring term 1997, a group of students and faculty gathered together and formed an organization that could be a support group for Asian Pacific American students. The group wanted to provide individual, social, academic, political, and cultural support that would help APA students feel welcome and succeed at OSU. Thus, the Asian Pacific American Student Union was born. At the end of Spring 1998, APASU was recognized for its success and achievement and was awarded the Student Involvement Award for the New Organization of the Year.
