The Alpha Phi Foundation
Founded in 1956, the Alpha Phi Foundation is a financially successful organization that operates with the highest ethical values. In the spirit of mutual respect and life-long membership in Alpha Phi, the Foundation funds programs that:
- provide leadership and educational opportunities
- encourage and recognize superior scholarship
- support women’s cardiac health
- educate women about the value of philanthropy
- assist members in need
The Alpha Phi Foundation generously supports programs that perpetuate life-long pride and loyalty among Alpha Phis, and positively impact the lives of all women. The Foundation is well known and respected internationally as a prominent leader for the Greek community and as an important funding source of education in women’s cardiac health, leadership development and philanthropy.
Alpha Phi members and friends worldwide generously donate their time and money to ensure the continuing success of the Alpha Phi Foundation.
Beta Upsilon Events
Our members participate in and host numerous philanthropic and service events each year, both on the Oregon State University campus and in the community. Here is a sample of the many events we’ve been a part of.
- Annual Red Dress Gala, co-sponsored with Alpha Phis from Linfield College and the University of Oregon.
- Annual Capture the Flag Competion sponsored by our chapter to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation.
- NPC competition raising funds for Ugandan orphans.
- 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament sponsored by Delta Upsilon.
- Volleyball Tournament sponsored by Sigma Kappa.
- Film Festival sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon.
- Miss Minerva Talent Contest sponsored by Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
- Hair-cutting Contest, sponsored by Alpha Tau Omega fraternity
- Spaghetti Feed Dinner, sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta sorority
- Rodeo, sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity
- 5-K run to benefit Corvallis schools
