Student Organization DevelopmentThe Student Organization Development program at Oregon State University supports the development of all students through participation in clubs and organizations. Student organizations provide unparalleled opportunities for experiential learning outside the classroom. Student organization programs and resources promote leadership, diversity, critical thinking, creativity, social interaction and community for members of organizations and those who attend programs. Student organizations are a vital part of Oregon State University, creating
a rich community of diversity. Approximately three hundred OSU recognized student
organizations with varying thoughts, activities, goals and experiences build
a foundation for community service, cultural expression, activism, civil discourse,
free speech, academic achievement and professional development. University Support of Student OrganizationsThe diversity of the 300 recognized organizations creates opportunity for five different university departments to be involved in the support, development and recognition of student organizations.
