Students admitted to the OSU/Lane Community College Degree Partnership Program who choose to take courses at both schools in the same term may be eligible to receive financial aid based on the combined enrollment. Lane degree partnership program students are assigned OSU as their home school. OSU as the home school (OSU) will disburse the students financial aid. No financial aid will disburse to the student’s account unless the student is enrolled in a minimum of one credit at OSU. Please note that scholarships may have different enrollment requirements. Some OSU scholarships require a minimum of 6 hours for enrollment eligibility. If a student has no OSU credits in a term they must drop his/her DPP status at LCC and receive financial aid at LCC as a regular LCC degree seeking student.
A student must consider the transferability of his/her courses when determining his/her enrollment. When students participate in the Degree Partnership Program with LCC, OSU is your home school, and cannot count courses that will not transfer to OSU. Therefore, if a student is taking 14 credits between both schools, with courses at LCC Math 112 (3cr) and Drafting 140 (3cr) and OSU courses being Biology 103 (4cr) and Economics 201 (4cr), the total enrollment for financial aid purposes would be 11 credits. While your Math 112 course transfers to OSU, your Drafting 140 does not. Generally, vocational/technical courses do not transfer to OSU. To verify that a course is transferable, a student should consult his/her academic advisor.
