The primary factor in determining the home school for the OSU/Clatsop/Oregon Coast Community College Degree Partnership Program is the immediate degree objective that the student is working toward. Those pursuing an Associate’s Degree would have Clatsop/Oregon Coast Community College as their home school. Those pursuing a Baccalaureate Degree would have OSU as their home school.
No financial aid will disburse to your account unless you are enrolled in a minimum of one credit at your designated home school. Please note that scholarships may have different enrollment requirements. Some OSU scholarships require a minimum of 6 hours for enrollment eligibility.
There are several other things to consider when determining your home school.
• When Clatsop/Oregon Coast Community College is your home school, they cannot count 300 or 400 level courses toward the enrollment needed to disburse financial aid. Therefore, if you are taking 12 credits between both schools, and one of those is a 3 credit 300 level course at OSU, then Clatsop will consider your enrollment level as 9 credits.
• You must also consider the transferability of your courses when determining your home school. When OSU is your home school, we cannot count courses that will not transfer. Therefore, if you are taking 12 credits between both schools, with your courses at Clatsop/Oregon Coast Community College Math 112 and Drafting 140, your total enrollment would be 9 credits at OSU. While your Math 112 course transfers to OSU, your Drafting 140 does not. Generally, vocational/technical courses do not transfer to OSU. To verify that a course is transferable, please consult your academic advisor.
