Your eligibility for aid was initially calculated on the basis of full-time, full year enrollment. Notify the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships if you will be attending any term less than full-time by noting the credit hours you will enroll in each term, and/or if you will be enrolled for less than a full year.
COST OF ATTENDANCE (COA): This indicates an estimate for cost of attendance for the full academic year for students in your category. It is not the amount you will be billed. Budget status was noted from your FAFSA based on your state of residence, but the Office of Admissions and Orientation determines your residency status for tuition purposes.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION (EFC): Student and/or Parent contribution is calculated from your FAFSA according to federal needs analysis for a fair and equitable estimate of your and your family’s resources. It is not an amount that is paid to the university.
RESOURCES: These are additional sources of assistance.
NEED: This is determined by subtracting the cost of attendance from the expected family contribution (EFC). The difference indicates the total amount of aid you are eligible to receive from all aid programs, scholarships, and outside aid sources. A need figure is calculated for all aid applicants, though the financial aid office may not be able to meet the full need of each student due to funding and/or program limits.
