Student permits may be paid for by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover). Billing to a student account is no longer an option. All permits must be picked up at Transit & Parking Services (TAPS) unless the box for on-campus mailing of permits was checked on the permit application form.
Please pay close attention to signs and park in marked spaces only. All lots have signs at their entrances to let you know what type of permit is required and when enforcement is in effect. Be sure to check the signs before you park.
Parking is on a first-come, first serve basis. All reserved, handicap and timed spaces are enforced at all times unless otherwise posted. Parking is never allowed in a fire zone or in red/yellow curbed areas.
To assist the infrequent driver, daily permits are available for $5 and weekly permits for $24. There are also 10 'Pay & Display' stations located throughout campus. The 'Pay & Display' station locations are shown on the OSU campus map located on the Transit & Parking Services website.
Hangtag permits should be displayed on the rearview mirror and be visible from the outside. Paper permits should be displayed on the driver's side dash, visible from the outside. Motorcycle, motor scooter and moped permits shall be affixed to the front or rear fender and be clearly visible.
Notify Oregon State Police (541-737-3010) & Transit & Parking Services (541)737-2583 immediately if a permit is lost or stolen. Replacement permits may be obtained at the TAPS office upon completion of the proper forms.
If a permit is found that is not your own, please return it to the TAPS office. Permit ownership is non-transferable. The display of a permit that has been reported lost or stolen carries a $50.00 fine and possible criminal prosecution.
Pro-rated refunds are provided for full year permits through winter term only.
If your vehicle becomes disabled, and you cannot move it right away, call our office (541) 737-2583 or Public Safety Dispatch (541) 737-3010
Handicap spaces require both an OSU parking permit and a valid DMV placard. With a valid DMV placard, any meter that has a time limit of more than 30 minutes does not require payment. This policy is enforced at all times.
