Project Steering/Advisory Committee:

Charge Statement:  The Steering Committee will provide overall guidance to the implementation process for the new Time and Attendance program.  Guidance on key issues will include:

  • Review and approve key objectives of implementing the Time & Attendance system
  • Assist the core work group keep project headed in acceptable direction
  • Provide guidance on key issues
  • Help to identify threats to overall success of project
  • Generate and provide feedback during project
  • Provide input to help avoid last minute changes/demands
  • Help to identify desired functionality for various end-user groups
  • Provide guidance to the Implementation Team in the identification and documentation of the training needs and resources needed by both those implementing and using the Workforce systems and equipment
  • Help to identify support and work groups comprised of staff who will be responsible for similar Workforce functions across campus (so that they can consult with each other and engage in future training together)

An Implementation/Core Project Group will work with the Steering Committee to launch the new program.

Charge Statement:  The Stakeholder Committee will represent their respective peer/employee groups to the time & attendance project by:

  • Receiving project updates from the core project group
  • Providing project feedback to the core project group
  • Helping to identify what functions are critical from respective stakeholder views
  • Assisting in program testing
  • Assisting in generating acceptance and project buy-in

The Project Implementation/Core Group will work with the Steering Committee to implement the new time and attendance program. The core group will plan, with review and input of the Steering Committee, the scope of the project, key operational decisions, mitigating threats to project success, timing of the project, and planning for post-implementation issues.
