Students

Sections 100-400

A student is a person whose major efforts are directed toward getting a formal education.

I am...

1. An Undergraduate Student -Section 100

A person currently enrolled in an OUS Institution undergraduate course (pre-bachelor degree or post bachelor program).

This includes System Students. 

2. A Graduate Student - Section 200

(1) A student who is enrolled in a program of study beyond the baccalaureate or post baccalaureate level, leading to an advanced degree, or
(2) A student who holds a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and has been admitted to the University and a major department or program to work toward a graduate degree or graduate certificate, or
(3) A student who holds a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university who DOES NOT wish to pursue a post baccalaureate degree, a graduate degree or graduate certificate, or a professional degree may be classified as a nondegree-seeking graduate student.

3. An Other Enrolled Student - Section 300

A person whose primary educational focus is to obtain a degree and who is an enrolled student in an accredited Non-OUS Institution including Non-System students, High School students, Home School students, Community College students, vocational and technical school students.

4. An Ineligible Student - Section 400

A person who does not fall into one of the three previous categories.

OSU Employer/Supervisor

Section 500

Any person, entity or organization that is officially recognized as being part of Oregon State University, whether or not physically located on the main Corvallis campus, that employs students to perform tasks for compensation or as a volunteer or intern.

Non-OSU Employers

Section 600

Any person, entity, or organization not officially recognized as being part of Oregon State University, that employs students to perform tasks for compensation or as a volunteer or intern.
