Every student at Oregon State University has a student account. Most university financial transactions are processed through the student account. Textbooks, however, cannot be charged to student accounts. The OSU Bookstore is a separate organization and is separate from the OSU Accounts Receivable System.

Most Financial Aid and Scholarship money is credited directly to the student account; however, work-study money is paid to the student in the form of a payroll check. After qualified charges have been paid, any excess financial aid is refunded to the student in the form of a check or direct deposit to the student's bank account. Students may view their student account online through Student Online Services.
