Billing and Payment Information

All billing for currently enrolled students is processed electronically through eBill. eBill statements are processed on the 5th of each month for students who have current activity resulting in an account balance or credit. Students are sent an email to their ONID email account when their statement is ready to view and can then view their eBill statement online at http://mybill.oregonstate.edu.

More information on eBill is available on our website at studentfinance/eBill/.

Unpaid balances as of the 1st of the month following the eBill statement are considered past due, and will be assessed interest at the rate of 1% per month (12% APR). A schedule of our billing is available at the billing schedule page. Students are financially responsible for all courses for which they register. Students are responsible for paying fees by the deadline even if they do not receive a bill.

Student account information is also available online through Student Online Services.

Acceptable Payment methods

OSU currently accepts eCheck, paper checks, money orders and cash as acceptable payment methods. Visa and MasterCard are also accepted through Student Online Services. Please see the Cashier's Office Payment Information Section for more information regarding all acceptable payment methods.

Returned checks or Non-sufficient funds payments

If a check (paper check or eCheck) is not honored by the payer's bank and is returned to the University, the consequences are serious. The service charge for returned check collection is $25.00 per item, regardless of the amount of the check or the reason it was returned. Returned checks will be billed on your student account - this means that you will see a charge back for the amount of the check. A hold may be placed on your student account or check writing privileges may be suspended if multiple checks are returned. Checks returned because of bank error require a letter from the bank to be sent to the Cashier's Office, and must include the student ID number. OSU is not responsible for any fees that your bank charges you as a result of writing checks against funds not on deposit at your bank.
