Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity at Oregon State University: Defining the Path Forward
Over the course of the 2011-12 academic year, Oregon State engaged in a comprehensive self-study of equity, inclusion, and diversity efforts university-wide. The result of this unprecedented effort is a set of recommendations that will guide our collective efforts to make Oregon State a model equitable, inclusive, and diverse university. This program will introduce important goals for the university’s equity, inclusion, and diversity agenda that are central to the institutional mission, and outline the strategic leadership efforts of the Office of Equity and Inclusion with regard to these and other key goals.

Civic Pedagogies and Civic Inquiries: Enhancing Students’ Civic Capacities
Focusing on evidence that points to pedagogies that have especially high civic outcomes and civic inquiries that can be injected within any course across the curriculum as a means of expanding students’ exploration of the public questions and consequences of a given subject. This session, presented by our keynote speaker, Dr. Caryn McTighe Musil, will be geared towards faculty and instructors. A variety of short articles are being selected as pre-reading, and more information regarding this session will be sent out in a few weeks. Register for this session.
