Faculty may participate in the 2016 commencement ceremony by serving as a Ph.D. Escort, Faculty Representative, or Marshal. Faculty who wish to participate in one of these roles must register or volunteer in advance. At this time, we would like to increase the number of Faculty Representatives.
Cap & Gown Rental: Faculty members attending Commencement may rent their Cap and gown from the OSU Bookstore and charge to your department index. (the appropriate account code within your index is 28613). You may order your cap and gown online at http://osubeaverstore.com/Faculty/Regalia
- Faculty Escorts Must be dressed in academic regalia. Accompanies doctoral candidates to the ceremony and hoods the candidates. Graduate School and will confirm your participation. You may register ONLINE with your ONID ID. Additional Faculty Escort details available online.
- Faculty Representatives Must be dressed in academic regalia. Participate in the processional across campus and into Reser Stadium where they will be seated as a group for the ceremony. To attend as a Faculty Representative, please register ONLINE with your ONID ID. We will confirm all faculty representatives after June 6. Additional Faculty Representative details available online.
- Faculty Marshals Must be dressed in academic regalia. Responsible for lining up graduates in their correct location for the procession, seating at the stadium and for diploma distribution. Graduate Marshal training takes place on Monday, June 6 from 3-5 p.m. and Undergraduate Marshal training takes place on Wednesday, June 8 from 3-5 p.m. Please contact Chris Bell, Chief Marshal for additional information at Chris.A.Bell@Oregonstate.edu
