Commencement

OSU Faculty:

Faculty may participate in the 2013 commencement ceremony by serving as a Ph.D. Escort, Faculty Representative, or Marshal.  Faculty who wish to participate in one of these roles must register or volunteer in advance. At this time, we would like to increase the number of Faculty Representatives.

Cap & Gown Rental: Faculty members attending Commencement may rent their Cap and gown from the OSU Bookstore and charge to your department index. (the appropriate account code within your index is 28613). You may order your cap and gown online at http://osubeaverstore.com/Faculty/Regalia

Faculty Escorts who plan to accompany doctoral candidates have received a memo from the Graduate School and should confirm their participation. 

• Faculty Representatives dress in academic regalia and participate in the processional across campus and into Reser Stadium where they will be seated as a group for the ceremony. We will confirm all faculty representatives after June 6.

• Faculty Marshals dress in academic regalia and are responsible for lining up the graduates for the procession, seating at the stadium and for the diploma distribution. Over 75 faculy marshals are needed. Please contact Chief Marshal - Chris Bell Chris.A.Bell@Oregonstate.edu
