Oregon State University alum Matt Chin talks about how his internship with the Army Research Lab became a full-time opportunity for research in nanoelectronics.

The Applied Magnetics Research Program at OSU was initiated in 2004. The ongoing research encompasses novel magnetic sensors for medical, space and security applications, semiconductor spintronics and magnetic surface acoustic wave devices.

The group is lead by Dr. Albrecht Jander and Dr. Pallavi Dhagat, and enjoys strong collaboration with partners in ONAMI (Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute), and businesses including Umpqua Research Company (Roseburg, OR) and NVE Corporation (Eden Prairie, MN).
