Community College Leadership Program (CCLP)

The Community College Leadership Program (CCLP) prepares teachers and administrators for leadership roles in technical and community colleges and similar organizations. The CCLP focus is on the application of quality research to the problems and opportunities in community colleges.

Because Oregon State University is a long-established, accredited university with a reputation for first-rate scholarship, your Community College Leadership degree will be respected throughout the world. CCLP faculty members are committed to excellence, and program graduates demonstrate this. Admission is limited and competitive.

CCLP Teaching and Learning Methods
CCLP students enroll as members of a cohort with the goal of participating in an active learning community. Classes are scheduled for an intensive weekend once a month at an off-campus conference center in Oregon. Instructional methods include group and individual projects, scholarly discussion, and a professional internship. A portfolio, oral exam, and the defense of original research reported in a dissertation complete the program. A major professor guides each student through the program.

Applicants need a minimum of three years of professional experience in technical or community colleges or a professional field related to teaching, learning and/or leadership.
