Organizational and Human Resource Education Program


Where and when are classes held?
The Organizational and Human Resource Education Master's Cohort Program provides courses to students from around Oregon, and some even from Washington and northern California. Classes are held on the campus of Clackamas Community College, Wilsonville Training Center, Wilsonville, Oregon. Students and faculty communicate on a regular basis via e-mail, web, and the internet. Classes meet once per month, three times per term on Friday, 1 p.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Can I work and still complete this degree?
Yes. Most participants in your "cohort" will work full-time, enroll part-time and complete their degree programs in three years.

What is a "cohort"?
A "cohort" is a group of students who create their own learning community with resident and adjunct faculty from Oregon State University.

One great advantage to learning in a cohort is the network you establish with other professionals that will increase your mobility across organizational boundaries for employment opportunities and career growth.

What are the admission and completion requirements?
Admission requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3.0 GPA in last 90 quarter hours

Admission criteria include:

  • written communication skills
  • oral communication skills
  • career objectives
  • professional recommendations and experiences

45 credits must be earned in an approved program of studies with a major in Adult Education.
