The Business is Good! Tour hits the road fall 2007, casting a spotlight on people, industries, and communities across the state and their unique contributions to Oregon’s economic vitality. Aaron Selvig and Duncan Wyse discuss the Tour stop in Corvallis during Corvallis' 150th Birthday Celebration and what Duncan is learning in the Tour.

Duncan Wyse became the President of the Oregon Business Council in June 1995. The Oregon Business Council is a private non-profit, non-partisan organization consisting of 46 business executives of some of Oregon’s largest businesses. OBC’s function is to focus the knowledge and resources of its members on key, long-range public policy issues facing Oregon. Two major initiatives of the OBC are the Oregon Business Plan (a statewide strategy for economic prosperity) and E3, Employers for Education Excellence (an initiative to support improvement of K-12 education). The Oregon Business Council is the winner of the Governor’s Gold Award in the category of outstanding public organization.

He currently serves on the Oregon Quality Education Commission, the E3: Employers for Education Excellence Board of Directors, the Oregon Mentors Leadership Council, the Multnomah County Leaders Roundtable, Portland-Multnomah Progress Board, the Multnomah County Commission on Children, Families and Community, the Portland Public Schools Foundation, the Willamette Restoration Initiative and the Governor’s Global Warming Advisory Group.
