Don started his career at Oregon State University in 1976 as Manager of the university Craft Center, following completion of his undergraduate work at Southern Oregon University and graduate work at the University of Puget Sound. Three years later he became Assistant Director of Student Activities, later moving on to Assistant Director of the Memorial Union and now holding the position of Assistant Director in the Center for Leadership Development. As an adjunct faculty in the CSSA program, Don teaches a First Year Transition course to Student Affairs and seminars on the topics of Spirituality in Higher Education and Architectural Architecture. In the area of Leadership Development his work focuses on identity development. Don has spent seventeen years administering the Student Development Seminar which is an annual three day seminar in which thirty college students from around the country focus on personal identity.
