William Becker
Instructor, Community College Leadership Program

William joined the CCLP teaching staff in 1998 to teach the educational finance class. Dr. Becker brings a broad background and experience in both community college and universities to the CCLP. Over his professional career, he has worked in four states which has included service at multi-campus and single campus community colleges and universities and in the system-wide office of a state university. His duties have included service as the chief business and administrative services officer at four community colleges, a technical college and a state university. Dr. Becker has also served as the chief planning and governmental relations officer for a state university and been published in the Journal of the Society for College and University Planning, Planning for Higher Education.

Although now retired, Dr. Becker continues to be actively involved in higher education finance through consulting activities and pursuing research interests in college and university finance and budgeting.
