So you want to become an educational leader...
The College of Education at Oregon State University offers two exciting doctoral programs in education that prepare educational leaders.
We believe educational leaders should be proactive change agents and advocates for social, economic, and political justice. The Ph.D. in Teacher Leadership Education adheres to issues of equity and diversity in learning communities and promotes an understanding of diversity that furthers the mission of the College of Education. If you want to be an educational leader in teaching, curriculum development, or other aspects of the educational profession, this cohort program will provide opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that reflect your lifelong learning goals. Many of our graduates have become leaders at the international and local levels; others return to the classrooms and become district leaders and advocates for equity in the teaching and learning process.
The College of Education also offers the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a major in Education and an emphasis in Community College Leadership. The College of Education is committed to excellence in its doctoral program. In order to meet this commitment admission is limited and competitive. Doctoral students enroll in the Community College Leadership Program as members of a cohort with the goal of completing all degree requirements within three to four years.
Because Oregon State University is a long-established, accredited university with a reputation for first-rate scholarship, your Community College Leadership degree will be respected throughout the world. CCLP faculty members are committed to excellence, and program graduates demonstrate this. Admission is limited and competitive.
