Jason J. Dorsette (Associate Director)
Jason J. Dorsette joined the Oregon State University community in January of 2014. Prior to OSU, Jason served as the founding Director and Principal Investigator of a $500,000.00 grant focused initiative on the academic success of minority and underserved students at North Carolina Central University. In addition, Jason served at the behest of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management on special assignments, which included collaborating with various departments and divisions throughout campus, updating the Council of Deans and Board of Trustees as well as actively participating in Faculty Senate reports. His participation with the Lumina Foundation on African American/Latino success, several NASPA national and regional committees regarding multicultural affairs/international issues, and the ACPA standing committee on men and masculinities have allowed him to participate in national discussions that influence the future directions of higher education as regards diversity.
In his current role as Associate Director, Jason oversees the finances, facilities, and strategic planning of the seven Cultural Resource Centers at Oregon State University. He will serve as a resource to Oregon State University. Jason is charged with identifying opportunities to engage the Cultural Resource Centers with the campus at large, and to facilitate the further development of opportunities for student success and engagement. In particular, Jason assists the university in utilizing the expertise of the Cultural Resource Centers to realize our collective vision. In all of these endeavors, Jason works closely with the Cultural Resource Center student leaders, Assistant Directors and the Office of Intercultural Student Services-Diversity Development, and the Vice Provost of Student Affairs and the Student Affairs Leadership Team.
Salvador Miramontes, Jr., (Administrative Program Specialist) earned his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University, in the field of Graphic Design, in 2010. He joined the team after spending the last three years in the Tourism/Hospitality Industry as a Marketing & Communications Coordintor along the Columbia River Gorge.
