Community Relations Facilitators (CRFs)

Community Relations Facilitators (CRFs) are employees of Diversity Initiatives and Programs within the department of University Housing and Dining Services. CRFs are supervised by the Coordinator, Diversity Initiatives and Programs (Coord DIP). Each CRF is expected to work to accomplish the mission and objectives of UHDS and to help create, sustain, and promote inclusive living-learning environments for UHDS residents. This mission includes serving as an ambassador of UHDS to outreach to various campus partners, helping to build collaborative relationships between UHDS residents, student staff, and campus partners engaged in diversity and social justice education, facilitating educational workshops, developing and executing large scale events, and contributing to the CRF Video Blogs. The position requires a strong commitment to the principles of and action for social justice.

There will be 14 Facilitators (CRFs) selected for the 2015-2016 academic year. Each student will work an average of 15 – 19 hours each week. This position requires independent work, as well as, strong collaborative relationships with fellow CRFs and a variety of student and professional staff from Residential Education (UHDS), cultural resource centers, and other campus partners. Compensation will consist of room and board and a monthly stipend. Cultural Resource Center (CRC) - Leadership Liaisons

CRC-Leadership Liaisons are employees of Intercultural Student Services/Diversity Development.  The Cultural Resource Center Student Leadership Liaison must be committed to the development of an inclusive community in the Cultural Resource Centers at Oregon State University and to the education of all students in areas of cultural awareness, social justice and liberation. The CRC Student Leadership Liaison provide mentorship and guidance to other peer staff members as well as lead program planning, and assist in managing center projects and delegating tasks among peer staff members.

There will be 16 Leadership Liaisons selected for the 2015-2016 academic year, two per center. Leadership Liaisons will work up to 18-20 hours per week. Please review the position description for further details and compensation.
