sectretWho can be involved in the University Theatre?

The University Theatre serves the entire OSU and Corvallis community. Anyone can audition for shows, work on crews, and participate in the many facets of production work. Theatre classes are open to all registered as OSU students. One does not have to be a theatre major to be part of the University Theatre.

 

 

How do I get information about University Theatre Events?

The website is a good source of information. It is updated periodically through out the year. You can also arrange to receive our department newsletter either through the purchase of season tickets, or by contacting our office manager at the University Theatre office at 541-737-2853.

How do I contact University Theatre faculty?

Go to the faculty section of this website. Phone numbers and email addresses are listed for each faculty member, or stop by Withycombe Hall to check on office hours and/or make an appointment.

What type of productions does the University Theatre present?

The University Theatre is predominantly an educational institution, committed to providing a wide range of theatrical experiences for OSU students and the Corvallis community.

Productions range from the classics to contemporary works, musicals, comedy, and drama. The University Theatre seeks to produce at least one show in all major periods and styles of drama over any five year period.

How do I purchase tickets?

Contact our box office at 541-737-2784 beginning on Monday of the week a show opens to reserve tickets for that particular show. Or contact our office manager to arrange for season tickets (541-737-2853). Tickets may be paid for in cash or by check. Look for updates and options for web-based tickets sales beginning January 2007.

Who do I contact about working on a particular show?

The director of that show is a good place to start. They can put you in touch with the appropriate designer, manager, ect. to get things rolling.
