The Data Services Team offers the OSU campus the convenience of network data connections on a monthly basis. We have named this service FlexNet because of the flexibility it provides in meeting the changing needs of our customers. The Data Services Team provides network support from the Core OSU network to the wall jack for a per jack activated monthly fee. This includes network equipment, monitoring, cables, upgrades and business hour direct support.
FlexNet service can be provided in any campus building having access to fiber optic cable which terminates in the Kerr Administration building. Other buildings must be considered on a case by case basis, and if service is possible, there may be additional installation expense to the department.
This service is intended to support end user computing equipment (work stations, printers, servers). It is not intended to provide attachment points for customer owned Networks these services are provided for with different fees and support structures.
