Student Media Committee About & Members

The University Student Media Committee (USMC) was established in 1982. The committee acts as quasi-publisher and general manager of Student Media.

The committee consists of voting members, four student and four faculty, and non-voting members, which includes the Director of Student Media, Assistant Director, and the editors and managers of each medium. Students and faculty from across campus are encouraged to apply for the committee.

The committee is primarily responsible for:

• Hiring editors, managers, and business managers
• Reviewing budgets
• Addressing formal complaints

Each term editors and managers are responsible for providing term reports to the committee.
