“I couldn't be prouder of how my team pulled together and made some great product,” said Jodie Davaz, station manager for KBVR FM and nominee for the Best Community News Coverage award. “We have a dream team this year and I look forward to continuing success.” “Our nomination for college station of the year publically solidifies the progress that the KBVR FM community is continuing to make this academic year,” said Matt Walton, KBVR Promotions Director and co-nominee for the Best Play-by-Play Football award. “I was personally thrilled to see the nomination for Best Football play-by-play, especially considering Josh Worden and I had been a team for a mere four games.” KBVR broadcasts 24/7 on 88.7 FM from the campus of Oregon State University. The station is managed by students, and is programmed by nearly 100 student volunteer DJs. Programming includes live music, local news, sports and talk radio shows. The IBS is an educational association consisting of more than a thousand high school and college broadcast stations. Winners of the IBS Awards will be announced on Saturday, March 8th at the organization’s annual conference in New York City. A list of finalists can be found on the IBS website.
