TRiO Student Support Services (TRiO-SSS) is a federally funded program providing opportunity for academic development, assisting students with basic college requirements, and motivating students to successful completion of a baccalaureate degree. Our mission is to help you succeed at Oregon State University.
WHO CAN APPLY?
TRiO SSS is a selective program open to undergraduate OSU students who are:
- First-generation college students; and/or
- Low-Income (Please see U.S. Department of Education guidelines); and/or have
- Documented disabilities
In addition to the above qualifications, federal regulations require students to have an academic need to be eligible for our services. Academic need can be assessed through various means including test scores, GPA, interruption or delay in postsecondary education, limited English skills, and other family or life factors which are deemed to present challenges to success in college.
Student referrals from other TRiO programs outside of OSU can be emailed to any of the TRiO Academic Counselors listed on the Faculty & Staff Page.
Applications are generally only accepted during Spring and Summer terms, to be admitted for the next academic year. This year, however, (2015-2016) they are being accepted all year.
Download and complete the SSS application.
