Nominees must hold the rank of full professor, have been a member of the OSU faculty for a minimum of 15 years and have consistently provided direct instruction to undergraduate students.

Nomination packet general instructions appear at the end of this site. It is necessary to follow the instructions completely or the nomination will not be considered.

The nominator shall submit: the completed form; the nominee's vita; information on undergraduate courses taught, including how often courses have been taught and approximate enrollments; a summary of teaching evaluations for the past three years; and three letters of support: one letter of support shall be from a current or former student, one shall be from a current or emeritus faculty member and the third may be from a student, faculty member, alumni or other individual who can comment on the nominee's qualifications. Other than the position description, which is addressed in the guidelines, additional information submitted with the nomination will not be considered. The nominator is not eligible to submit a letter of support. The letters of support each shall not exceed three single-sided pages using at least 12 font and 1" margins. Signatures on the letters and supporting documents must be included, but may be electronic.

One original and eight double-sided copies of each nomination for the Richard M. Bressler Senior Faculty Teaching Award must be received by February 27, 2009. It is necessary to follow the instructions completely or the nomination will not be considered. Send nominations to: Faculty Recognition and Awards Committee, c/o Faculty Senate Office, 107 Gilkey Hall.

Do not place nomination packets in folders or binders, staple each copy of the nomination packet in the upper left-hand corner, and paper clip the original. The nomination packet for the successful recipient becomes University property and will not be returned to the nominator.
