     - Outline of academic redesign process reported to Faculty Senate

February/March
     - Steering Committed formed by Executive Committee
     - Steering Committee forms membership of subcommittees
     - Plan first large gathering

March
     - large gathering in third week including membership of Steering Committee, Executive Committee      and sub-committees

April/May
     - sub-committees work intensely on assigned issues

May
     - sub-committee reports due May 29th

June
     - report to June 7 Faculty Senate meeting on sub-committee progress

June-September
     - Steering Committee synthesizes reports and recommendations and determines possible new      sub-committees and membership
     - Faculty Senate caucuses meet to discuss sub-committee reports in relation to their units and      report back to the Steering Committee.

September
     - second large gathering of Steering Committee, Executive Committee and sub-committee      membership (week of September 23)

October
     - Report to Faculty Senate from Steering Committee from summer recommendations

October/November
     - second stage sub-committees meet - reports and recommendations due to Steering Committee on

December
     - Report to Faculty Senate from Steering Committee on sub-committee reports and      recommendations

January 2003
     - Faculty Senate caucuses review sub-committee reports in relation to their units and report to      Steering Committee

January/February
     - Steering Committee makes final recommendations to Executive Committee

March/April
     - Final recommendations presented to Faculty Senate
