- INFORMATION ITEMS
- Annual Reports
Annual committee/council reports submitted by Faculty Senate chairs are due July 15
to allow committees/councils to fully report their activities through June 30. Annual
reports will be published on the Faculty Senate website at: http://oregonstate.edu/dept/senate/committees/index.html
- Vacancies
Please notify the Faculty Senate Office if a sabbatic, leave or retirement will prevent
you from completing your term as either a Senator or Faculty Senate committee/council
member. If you are gone more than one term, exclusive of summer term, a replacement is
required. This information will assist us in identifying a replacement.
- Emergency Student Access Fund (EFSA)
Many thanks to all who have contributed to the EFSA. So far, we have assisted 152
students.
The
OSU
Foundation
has
agreed
to waive
the
standard
5% fee
for
managing
the
contributions.
All
funds
go directly
to the
students.
A parallel
fund
has
been
established
that
will
match
at 2-to-1
every
dollar
contributed.
Thus,
every
dollar
contributed
will
result
in three
dollars
to help
the
financial
needs
of OSU
students.
There are a number of students who still need financial assistance this spring and,
with the current state budget situation, it appears that the tuition surcharge will
remain and that tuition will increase even more next fall.
If you can make even a small contribution to the EFSA through the Faculty Senate Office,
a number of students will be able to be here next fall who may not otherwise be able
to attend OSU. Checks should be made out to: 'OSU Foundation - EFSA' and sent to the
Faculty Senate Office, 107 Gilkey Hall.
