The Science and Mathematics Education Department's dynamic faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized leaders. Many of our tenured faculty members have been recognized with university and college teaching awards, showing that they model what they teach: excellence, Most of our faculty have taught science or mathematics in elementary, middle, or high school. Our Licensure Coordinator provides important mentoring for the preservice teacher cohorts. Our Master Teachers add to the teaching experience, specifically supporting the preparation of science and mathematics teachers to earn both the Oregon Initial Teaching License and a Master's degree.
