Pendleton has cold, moist winters and cool, dry summers. This site supports grasslands with Wheatgrass and Bluegrass.
Compared to Pendleton, Condon has a higher elevation with colder mean temperatures and less precipitation. It supports Sagebrush steppe vegetation with Artemisia and Pseudoroegnaria.
Moro is drier and warmer than Condon. It supports a grassland with cool season bunchgrasses (Bluebunch wheatgrass and Poe secunda).
