Dr. Ryan Limb, Assistant Professor
Oregon State University
Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center &
Department of Rangeland Ecology & Management
205 Badgley Hall
One University Blvd
La Grande, Oregon 97850
Dr. Limb teaches Rangeland Ecology and Management, Wildland Plant Idendification, Wildland Restoration Ecology, and Range Animal Relations.
His current research projects include:
Fire and grazing disturbance in sage brush ecosystems
Plant community response to timing of fire
Plant community dynamics with juniper encroachment
Plant invasion in mountain environments along disturbance gradients
Prior to his appoint at Oregon State Univ. in 2010, Dr. Limb was a Post-doctoral research specialist in Stillwater, OK. There, he specialized in describing ecosystem response to both anthropogenic perturbation and historic pyric-herbivory. Research was focused on restoring historically appropriate disturbances to native grassland and shrubland ecosystems through the use of fire and herbivory.
