Field Day a Success!
Held June 27, 2007 at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, OR, The
theme of this year’s Range Field Day centered around “Riparian Ecology
and Management in Northeast Oregon”. The program featured presentations
and field demonstrations by OSU Scientists from the Departments of Rangeland
Ecology & Management and Animal Sciences

Dr.
Michael Borman Selected as Interim Department Head
Congratulations
to Dr. Borman on his selection for Interim Department Head position for
the Department of Rangeland Ecology and Management. Extension Specialist
in the Department since 1994, his interests include riparian assessment
and management, grazing management, animal behavior, weed ecology and
management. Dr. John Buckhouse has agreed to increase his Extension duties
to 100% in an effort to ensure the Department is able to meet it's extension
and outreach goals.
Congratulations
to our Recent Retirees
Dr.
William Krueger and Dr. David Chamberlain both recently retired as Department
Head and County Extension Agent, respectively, after many years of service
to the University and the state of Oregon. We, along with countless others,
wish them each a long and happy retirement! Congratulations!
