Kirk Davies graduated with a dual Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Resources and Crop & Soil science in 2000 and went on to obtain a PhD in Rangeland Resources in 2005.
Kirk is now employed as a Research Scientist with the Agricultural Research Service in Burns, OR. His research focuses on sagebrush steppe ecology, preventing and controlling invasive plants, responses of plant communities to herbivory, and disturbance ecology. Kirk works closely with ranchers and public land managers to conduct research that directly influences management and yet has national and international implications.
Kirk advises students to obtain field jobs during the summer to be able
to immediately apply what is being taught in the classroom.
