The Poster Session at Extension Annual Conference is open to anyone whose position includes an Extension appointment.

The Search for Excellence program recognizes and honors accomplishments in Extension education through the OSUEA peer selection and review process. Search for Excellence is a sub-committee of the OSUEA Professional Development Committee. Representatives from all program areas serve on the committee.
All OSUEA members are encouraged to apply. The entry is limited to 6-7 pages, plus a cover letter. Only one letter of support is needed. Deadline: Friday, August 2, 2002.

Search for Excellence Award
Purpose: The Search for Excellence program recognizes accomplishments in Extension education through the OSUEA peer review and selection process. Programs selected will be shared at the Oregon State University Extension Annual Conference.
Eligibility: All members of the OSU Extension Association are eligible to enter a program they are currently conducting or have completed during the past year. Programs conducted by teams of OSUEA members working cooperatively are especially encouraged.
Entry format 1. Cover page:
2. A discussion of your program (maximum of 5 pages) using the following outline. Applicant also may include support materials for program and evaluation tools (less is better).
NOTE: Search for Excellence evaluators give more weight to program impact and innovation during the selection process. (See Evaluation Form used by the committee.)
3. A letter of endorsement/recommendation from your immediate supervisor, associate director, or program leader (not an applicant).
To submit application: Application may be made by e-mail (support materials may be mailed). Attach the document in Microsoft Word format or paste into the body of an e-mail message. If this is a difficulty, please contact Janice Gregg early in the process. E-mail items 1-3 above to: Janice Gregg, Linn County Extension, gregg.j@oregonstate.edu, or mail to PO Box 765, Albany, OR 97321 . Complete applications must be e-mailed no later than August 2, 2002. Feel free to ask questions about the process: gregg.j@orst.edu or 541-967-3871, before the deadline. Awards: Selected award recipients listed as authors or program developers/collaborators will receive plaques from OSUEA. (Those listed as "Other Contributors" receive certificates.) Selection and Review: Applications will be reviewed by members of the Search for Excellence committee. Members selected as winners are expected to personally present an overview of their winning program during Extension Annual Conference.
