Nipplewort (Lapsana communis) initially forms small rosettes.
Rosettes are typically 6 to 8 inches in diameter.
Plants bolt in early summer and grow in a columnar habit.
Plants grow to 2 or 3 feet tall, and often in large groups as seen below.
Flowers grow in terminal clusters. Foliage is more sparse closer to the terminal end of flowering branches.
