Whitlow-grass (Draba verna) habit can be described in two stages.
Initially a basal rosette is formed.
Second, the flowering racemes emerge which can grow up to 6 inches tall.
Overall, this plant is inconspicuous. While it is abundant in
cultivated fields, it flowers and grows at the same time as Shepherd's purse.
For this reason, most will probably mistake whitlow grass for shepherd's
purse and otherwise rarely noticed it.
