Latin name: Geranium molle

Family:  Geraniaceae

Common name:  dovefoot geranium
Life cycle:  biennial, reproducing by seed
Habit:  low growing, mounding, 6 to 12 inches tall and wide.
Foliage:  Overall shape is round or circular, with deep lobes.  The leaf surface is pubescent, although the hairs appear to be longer or at least more noticeable closer to the margin.
Flower:  Pink to magenta with 5 petals.  Each petal is bilobed.
Stems:  Stems have a circular cross section, are generally red in color, and are very hairy.
