Northern willowherb (Epilobium ciliatum) - also called fireweed
Ronstar provided excellent NWH control. The same result was obtained in a similar but privately contracted trial. Other products providing effective control included Rout, Regal Star, and Broadstar.
NWH is becoming problematic for many nurseries. Its seed are wind-disseminated. A single plant can produce thousands of seed and spread them throughout a container nursery. Sanitation, or eliminating all NWH from the surrounding area, will do more for controlling this plant than any herbicide. Remove the seed source, and this problem should take care of itself.
