Network Services is made up of OSU Telecommunications, Network Engineering, iNOC and the
Open Source Lab. Together these teams provide a wide range of network and computing
services to the OSU community, both on-campus and at off-site locations.
OSU Telecommunications
Telecom maintains the physical wire plant on campus. They provide local and long distance
phone services, voicemail, pagers, cell phones, network data
connections, video- and teleconferencing, and data services and cable TV to the Residence halls.
Network
Engineering
Network Engineering is responsbile for OSU's network infrastructure and
connectivity to the Internet. They provide DNS/DHCP, Internet services (SMTP, FTP, Proxy, News), remote
access, network security and bandwidth mangement, e-mail services and network video engineering.
iNOC
iNOC is the network operations center for Oregon University System's
InTelCom network known as INTELNET. They provide call detail record collection
and administration, voice and video network administration, video/audio conferencing, and consulting, training and R&D.
OSU Open Source Lab
The Open Source Lab is a focal point for open source software development at OSU. The Open Source lab also manages hosting for several large open source projects.
